Chy Carne Holiday Park
Set within the Lizard Peninsular, Chy Carne Camping and Touring Park is a small, family-run holiday park that overlooks Kennack Sands.
The park is set within a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and is of scientific interest. It is situated beside a sandy beach and has Goonhilly Downs on its doorstep. The area has been designated a natural park and makes a great place for bird watching.
Chy Carne Camping and Touring Park welcomes touring caravans, motor homes, tents, camper vans, trailer tents and folding campers of all shapes and sizes. They also offer 2 and 3 bedrooms static caravans for hire which lie in their own area of the park. They allow well behaved dogs and pets.
The park is spacious, well kept, clean and safe. They offer level camping and touring pitches. They have 90 electric hook-ups available that are spread over a large area. Each pitch is a minimum of 8 to 10 metres wide and some are up to 14 metres. Most of the pitches feature great sea views. They have an additional 40 non-electrical pitches, most of which overlook the lovely Kennack Bay.
You will see the static caravans as you enter the park. They are set away from the touring area. You have a choice between 2 or 3 bedrooms. They also offer 2 bedroom chalets.
All of their caravans come fully equipped. The 2 bedroom caravans are 28ft by 10ft and can sleep up to 6 people. The 3 bedrooms caravans are 35ft by 12ft and can sleep up to 8 people. Each caravan has 2 toilets and comes with hot air heating.
Chy Carne Camping and Touring Park feature 2 modern purposely built shower blocks. They contain 16 showers, 11 toilets and 13 hand basins. They also have 2 washing up areas with a total of 6 sinks in 2 separate locations so that they are near all campers. They also have a laundrette with 2 18lb load washing machines and dryers.
Children will be thoroughly entertained on the site because they have a large pirate ship, a set of swings, a football table, table tennis, 2 pool tables, an indoor arcade and plenty of open grass for ball games.
There are a variety of local attractions nearby including beaches and coves. The park makes a great base for discovering the wonders of Cornwall. You can sit back, relax and enjoy a barbeque or a campfire in one of the site's chimineas or fire baskets. You can also choose to stargaze and enjoy a drink or two at the site's campsite bar that is located in their large canvas 125 square metre marquee. It features lighting, seating and a very cosy atmosphere. The site features a couple of bands that play during peak season. They also feature children's entertainment, Tribute bands and folk music.
They have an on-site takeaway near their marquee. Their shop has its very own pizza takeaway that is reasonably priced. Chy Carne Camping and Touring Park bids you to check them out and they look forward to meeting you in the near future.
