Doone Valley Campsite

Doone Valley Campsite is located in the heart of the Exmoor National Park and nestled in the Doone Valley made famous by Richard Doddridge Blackmore who wrote the novel 'Lorna Doone'. This is a family oriented site that features toilets and free hot showers and pot wash. There is also now free Wi-Fi on site.

All of the site's camping fields are level and are bordered by a shallow stream set in the valley surrounded by hills and trees. This makes an ideal area for children to play in. It is open from the middle of March until the end of October.

Doone Valley Campsite allows well-behaved dogs on the site as long as they are kept on a lead at all times and their owners clean up after them.

Campfires are allowed and guests can purchase logs from the campsite owners or they can bring their own.

The local area features plenty of activities for guest to enjoy including fishing and horse riding. Doone Valley Campsite can even accommodate your horse if you wish to bring it on holiday with you.

There are 4 different camping fields. Groups can hire a whole field and have a group camp - this is ideal for clubs or a large party.
