Penhalt Farm Holiday Park

Situated on the Coastal Downs, Penhalt Farm Holiday Park is a mile south of Widemouth Bay and features wonderful views of the stunning Atlantic coastline and the lovely surrounding countryside.

The site is a working sheep farm. Their holiday park stands on an 8-acre site that is well-equipped for touring caravans and campers. Their on-site shop can supply guests with all the essentials, including Calor and Camping Gaz. The site has electric hook-ups if required. They feature 2 toilet blocks, one which has a toilet for the disabled, and a baby changing unit.

Penhalt Farm Holiday Park have a well-equipped laundry that includes washing machines, tumble dryers, irons and washing up facilities. Their games room features pool tables and air hockey. They have a children's play area outside as well as a table tennis table and basketball net. They allow dogs on the site, but they must be kept on a lead at all times. They feature an adjacent field where you can exercise your dog.

You will find plenty of interesting places to visit within an hour's drive of Penhalt Farm Holiday Park. You can see the quaint village of Clovelly, the lovely fishing village of Boscastle, the Launceston Steam Railway and the legendary King Arthur's castle at Tintagel.

You can also enjoy many National Trust and English Heritage properties, gardens and nature trails. You can visit the Tamar Otter Park and the famous Coastal Footpath. Cyclists can enjoy a variety of quiet, country lanes, as well as the stunning Camel and Tarka Trails.

The North Cornish Coast features many unspoiled, sandy beaches that have been reputed to be among the best in the country. They offer good surfing and other water sports. The main beaches are patrolled by lifeguards throughout the holiday season. You can take your dog year-round on South Beach in Widemouth Bay, Summerleaze Beach in Bude, Duckpool, Sandy Mouth and Northcott Mouth. Dogs are not allowed from Easter to the 1st of October on North Beach in Widemouth, Crooklets in Bude and Crackington Haven.

Nearby activities to enjoy include tennis, golf, riding and a choice of fishing. Five miles away, families can enjoy the popular Splash Leisure Pool and a recently completed 10-pin bowling alley.

DIRECTIONS:

From the M5 at Exeter take the A30 exit at junction 31 and continue along the A30 for 42 miles.

Leave the A30 by the slip road onto the A395, taking the third exit at the roundabout.

Continue along the A395 for 10 and a half miles until you reach the A39.

Turn right onto the A39 and continue for about 6 miles.

At Coppathorne turn left (signposted Widemouth Bay) and continue for just less than a mile.

Turn left at the Widemouth Manor Hotel and follow the road for about a mile - Penhalt Farm is signposted on the left.
