Barn Farm Camping

Barn Farm Camping is situated on the edge of the Peak District and is a great place to enjoy a weekend break or an extended holiday. Overlooking the Derwent Valley, the farm is a haven for wildlife including Badgers and rare Black Fallow Deer. It boasts over 60 species of birds such as Nuthatch, Dippers and Peregrine Falcons.

Barn Farm is located near the Derbyshire Dales towns of Matlock and Bakewell making it a perfect location for tourists to the area. Haddon Hall and Chatsworth House are close by as well as Gullivers Kingdom and the Heights of Abraham in Matlock Bath.

CAMPING AND CARAVANS

The season runs from Easter to the end of October. There is one field which is used for camping for the whole of the season and other fields which are only used at certain times of the year.

Barn Farm Camping have separate areas for tourers which are hard surfaced pitches and provide an all weather surface. Some have shared illuminated electrical hook up bollards with drinking water and some have individual electrical hook up points.  They all enjoy lovely views of the surrounding countryside. Tourers are unable to be pitched in the camping fields, they need to be booked onto one of the touring pitches.

Please note that the touring pitches can be uneven so levelling blocks are required and the awning area will require hard wearing pegs not grass pegs.

CAMPING BARNS

There are 5 self-contained camping barns, each of which can accommodate from 2 to 15 people. The barns are heated, have tables and chairs, TVs, fitted kitchens with fridge/freezer and cooking facilities, some have their own private bathroom and shower facilities.

Barn Farm Camping offers excellent 4 star facilities including toilet and shower blocks, washing and drying facilities, pot washing, convenience/camping store on site plus an indoor games room, outdoor children's playground and sauna.

CARAVAN STORAGE

There is indoor storage space, available all year round for caravans. If you store your caravan with us and would like to stay on site you will pay a reduced nightly touring rate.
