Hendre Mynach Touring Caravan & Camping Park

Situated between the coast road and the sea, Hendre Mynach Touring Caravan & Camping Park is an award winning site that is located just a 20 minute walk along the promenade from the seaside town of Barmouth, on the Mawddach Estuary.

The site is ideal for both families and couples. Families are especially welcome during school holidays.

TOURING AND CAMPING

Touring caravans, motorhomes and tents are all catered for at Hendre Mynach Touring Caravan & Camping Park. There are hard standings and grass pitches with electric hook-ups and water. TV is available on many pitches and for your security there is CCTV.

This premier site includes heated shower blocks, with disabled facilities and launderette, children's play area and on-site shop.

Rallies are welcome outside the main peak weeks and there is a waiting list for seasonal pitches, so get in touch if you want more information.

CARAVAN FOR HIRE

Each of the 3 static caravan sleeps up to 6 with 1 double room and 2 twin rooms. They are tucked away in a real sunspot with private patio areas, all with outdoor furniture for you to enjoy al fresco meals. 2 are dog-friendly and one is a dog-free zone.

PODS

3 pods are available for hire, all with sea views. As with the static caravans 2 are dog-friendly, one is dog-free. Each contains a double & 2 singles, all with mattresses. A curtain divides each pod for privacy. All have sea facing balconies.

OUT AND ABOUT

Just 100 metres from Hendre Mynach Touring Caravan & Camping Park there is a clean, safe, sandy beach that always has plenty of space for families to play, sunbathe and swim. From the shore visitors can go sea-fishing. There are boat trips available from Barmouth harbour for off-shore fishing. There is a large dog-friendly zone on the beach available year-round.

From the promenade visitors can take a safe 20 minute walk straight to Barmouth town centre. In Barmouth visitors will find plenty of shops, cafes, restaurants and hotels with bar-food. On the beach nearer the town there is a leisure centre, amusement park rides, donkey rides and trampolines. During the summer and Bank Holidays visitors can take a trip on the small land train that travels up and down the coast. The local bus to Barmouth stops extremely close to the site. The main train line from the Midlands passes through Barmouth northwards to Pwllheli via the attractive Italinate village of Portmeirion and Porthmadog.

Just 10 miles away by car the foothills of Cadair Idris and Snowdonia National Park are great holiday attractions. Many lovely mountain and estuary walks that vary in difficulty are available in the area. Ask at Hendre Mynach's office for more information.

The Mawddach Estuary runs from Dolgellau to Barmouth. Visitors can cycle to Dolgellau along the old railway line. You start by crossing the famous Barmouth Bridge, which affords wonderful views of the estuary - it's ideal for bird watching. Barmouth has bike hire available if guests require it.

Nearby attractions include paddle boarding in Barmouth harbour, two golf courses, river and lake fishing, pony trekking, sailing, Harlech swimming and climbing wall, Harlech Castle, Fairbourne Miniature Railway and mountain biking.

Attractions that are a bit further away include Portmeirion Italianate Village, Caernarfon Castle, Zip Fforest at Betws-y-Coed, Beddgelert, Zip World, mine tours &  railway at Bleanau Ffestiniog, Snowdon, Celtica at Machynlleth, Ffestiniog, Talyllyn Miniature Railways and much more.
