Gosfield Lake Resort

Set in the heart of rural Essex, Gosfield Lake Resort is a private family-run leisure park. They are near to Constable Country and they are right on the Essex Way. The resort has a 36 acre lake on it. The lake and the surrounding countryside create a natural beauty spot. On clear summer evenings you can see spectacular sunsets on the site.

The area's local railway station is Braintree Freeport. It is 4 miles away from the resort and has direct trains to London Stratford which takes about 40 minutes to reach.

Gosfield Lake Resort's on-site activities are wide ranging. You can enjoy the gentle relaxation of picnicing, the excitement of water skiing and a variety of other leisure activities all catered for at one location.

The resort is a pleasant and safe environment to enjoy family fun and relaxation. They have lovely lakeside picnic spots, a children's play area and opportunities for water ski lessons for those who are more adventurous.

CAMPING AND CARAVANNING

Gosfield Lake Resort provides ideal camping facilities for avid campers. They have a purposely built toilet and shower block on-site. They also have a laundry room with a washing machine, tumble dryer and washing-up facilities with hot water. The caravan field has chemical toilet deposits and electric hook-ups.

The resort's lakeside tent field is picturesque but still very basic. You can truly enjoy primitive camping on the field. There is no electricity available and there is a 5 minute walk to reach the amenities. The site is more suited to experienced campers. If your idea of a camping break includes watching the sun set over the lake, watching wild life in their habitat after water-skiing has finished and enjoying a glass of your favourite drink in tranquil surroundings then the resort should be well-suited for you.

Gosfield Lake Resort's caravan field is beside the local church which creates a wonderful back-drop. All of the pitches on the caravan field have electrical hook-ups.  This field does not offer lake views but the views across the field to Gosfield hall are equally as impressive. The caravan field is near the amenities.
