Rhyd y Galen Caravan Park

Located on 15 minutes from the Snowdon footpath, Rhyd y Galen Caravan Park is a quiet and truly lovely caravan and camping park. Visitors will love the beautiful views from the site.

Rhyd y Galen Caravan Park is a perfect holiday destination. The park is ideally located for access to the relaxing surroundings, outstanding views and leisure and outdoor activities that the area has to offer.

The seaside is only a short drive away, as are the mountains and lakes. Other major attractions such as Caernarfon Castle and Portmeirion are nearby.

Only 7 miles from  Rhyd y Galen Caravan Park, visitors can take in the stunning scenery of the mountains of Snowdonia and climb Yr Wyddfa, or Snowdon.

Not far away is Plas Menai, the National Watersports Centre where visitors can learn to sail, canoe or windsurf. There is also a swimming pool there to enjoy.

GLAMPING - SHEPHERDS HUT

The Shepherd's Hut comfortably sleeps 2 people and is well insulated for cosy, snug evenings.

DIRECTIONS:

If travelling along the North Wales Coast road A55, leave at junction 11. Take the first exit on the roundabout, then turn right at the mini roundabout. Follow signs towards Caernarfon on the B4366 for 3 miles. At the next roundabout you need to go straight ahead (2nd exit)towards Bethel. Proceed through the village of Bethel towards Caernarfon. Half a mile after leaving the village, the entrance to Rhyd y Galen is on the left.

If you are approaching from South and Mid Wales: follow the A470 to Trawsfynydd. Follow signs for Porthmadog (A487). From Porthmadog follow the A487 to Caernarfon. In Caernarfon take the B4366. We are on the right 1.5 miles from the outskirts of Caernarfon.

If approaching from the A5, continue through Betws y Coed for 17 miles towards Bangor. At roundabout take first exit and follow signs towards Caernarfon on the B4366 for 3 miles. At the next roundabout you need to go straight ahead (2nd exit)towards Bethel. Proceed through the village of Bethel towards Caernarfon. Half a mile after leaving the village, the entrance to Rhyd y Galen is on the left.
