Fieldhead Campsite

Located in Edale, Fieldhead Campsite is a site that caters to campers. Edale is a picturesque village that is at the start of the Pennine Way. They have 2 public houses, 2 cafes, a post office and a general store that are all within 500 metres of the site.

The Peak District National Park Authority owns the campsite. The campsite is located at the Moorland/ Visitor Information Centre. Outdoor enthusiasts should find this ideal. There are always staff on hand to give you advice on local walking, mountain biking and climbing.

The site's tent pitches are spread over 6 fields. There is a separate family field and a small riverside field that is dedicated to only backpackers. A separate car park is next to the camping fields which have no vehicle access in order to ensure that guests have a quiet, peaceful stay.

Fieldhead Campsite's small camping fields are ideal for families as well as education groups, Duke of Edinburgh, Scouts and Guides.

Fieldhead Campsite is located in the centre of Edale, so is a short walk from the station and other village facilities. Being at the foot of Kinder Scout, it is well used by hikers and mountain bikers. It is also a short drive from well known climbing areas such as Stanage Edge and Burbage.
