Field Barn Park is only a mile and half from Bourton-on-the-Water, it is in a very quiet position within the Cotswold Hills, deliberately away from the roads, the noise of the traffic, the glare of the streetlights and houses in general.
It is an Adult only site designed so that campers can relax completely without any distractions from the outside world. Club rallies are also welcome.
Field Barn Park provides accommodation for 53 caravans, motorhomes and tents. All have electric hook ups and mains water. Camp fires are not permitted
There is a heated shower block, waste and rubbish disposal, a coin operated washing machine and the use of a fridge/freezer.
You can buy fresh eggs, farm made Fair Trade Ice Cream and burgers and steaks on site.
Over 400 trees and shrubs were planted in the park 6 years ago and these are now beginning to provide privacy and shade and of course make the site more attractive. Each pitch is a generous 100m2.
There is an Information Shed on site too, packed with maps and leaflets with information about nearby activities such as the Naunton and Burford golf courses and the Donnington and Bilbury trout farms.
Bourton-on-the-Water is a beautiful village on the River Windrush. It is full of traditional Cotswold stone buildings and pretty low bridges and there are a number of cafés where you can enjoy a cream tea. You can see the Penguins at Birdland or visit the perfume factory and the Bourton model village.
Also nearby you can visit The Costswold Wildlife Park, see the rare breeds at The Cotswold Farm Park. The Aboretum at Westonbirt, The Roman Villa at Chedworth and the medieval wood churches of Chipping Camden, Northleach, Cirencester and Burford.
Stow-on-the-Wold is a civil war town perched on a hill. It is an interesting town with curio shops, cafes and pubs.
If you want to travel further afield, Stratford-upon-Avon is an hour's drive away and you can explore the many National Trust parks and gardens, or visit Shakespeare's birth place and Anne Hathaway's house. Oxford is only an hour away and from there you can catch a bus to London.
Field Barn Park is perfectly situated for great days out, or making the most of the countryside with relaxing walks and beautiful views.
