Flusco Wood

Set in mixed woodland with great views of both the Lake District fells and the Pennine Hills, Flusco Wood combines two distinct areas. They have one area for privately owned pine holiday lodges and second area dedicated for touring caravans.

Flusco Wood's pine holiday lodges have the luxuries of home but have the benefit of being in a wonderful location in the Lake District. Each lodge features a fully-fitted kitchen and central heating. The site, unlike many others in Cumbria, stays open throughout the year. You know that there is a peaceful retreat waiting that you can return to again and again.

The English Tourism Council awarded Flusco Wood 5 Stars. The site's caravan pitches are set in woodland clearings. They features mains water, 16 amp electrical hook-ups and most also have their own main water tap and gully.

The site's modern amenity blocks feature under floor heating, luxury showers, washrooms and hand basins with free hot water. They also have a drying room for your wet boots and coats.

They have an on-site shop and reception that is open daily. The shop is well stocked with a variety of food, newspapers and a small range of caravanning accessories. You will find a wide range of helpful tourist information in the reception. You should be set with all that you need for a great holiday.

Guests can enjoy a number of walks through the park and the surrounding area. During any walk you will discover the fully beauty and splendour of the countryside.

Flusco Wood has been awarded the David Bellamy Gold award for conservation for several years running because of their extensive tree planting scheme and their environmentally sympathetic development.
