Rowlands Wait Touring Park
Rowlands Wait Touring Park is quiet, secluded and set in 8½ acres in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. They are set amidst the rural splendour of Dorset and conveniently situated midway between the county down of Dorchester and the historic port of Poole with Europe's biggest harbour.
The award winning park overlooks the lovely Purbeck Hills and the quaint village of Bere Regis in the heart of Thomas Hardy Country.
Rowlands Wait Touring Park has a lot of character and they emphasise a very natural look with fine mature trees, mown grass and thick hedgerows. Their pitches are grassy and level to gently sloping. Part of the pitches are in shade and others are in open areas. There are pitches with pretty views and others that are secluded. They have electric hook-ups only in the top part of the park. It is a minimum of 10 amps and it is charged for on a nightly basis. They have a total of 48 electric hook-up points.
There is an area for camping and group rallies in the field at the lower end of the park. They allow barbeques as long as they are kept off of the grass so that it doesn't get scorched. Open fires are not permitted.
Rowlands Wait Touring Park has plenty of space for children to run and cycle around without disturbing anyone.
The park is a family-managed and carefully maintained site that has direct access to woods and heathland. This gives walkers and cyclists a variety of routes to choose from and it gives wildlife enthusiasts opportunities to see many rare birds and animals. They make a great centre for exploring Dorset's heritage.
