Greencarts Farm

Greencarts Farm is a working farm situated in the beautiful Tyne Valley, surrounded by the magnificent, unspoilt beauty of Hadrian's Wall country.

We are ideally located for many of the visitor's attractions that Northumberland has to offer, including The National Park, Kielder Water, The Scottish Borders, Alnwick Castle & Gardens, and The National Trust site of Cragside. Both East and West coasts are within one hour of Greencarts Farm.

Hexham, steeped in history and awarded "Market Town of the Year", with its wonderful 7th century abbey, antique shops and many quality food establishments is only 7 miles away.

The World Heritage site that is the magnificent Hadrian's Wall with its many Forts, visitor's centres and historical points of interest, literally surrounds Greencarts Farm.

Nearby Kielder is home to the largest man-made lake in Europe. Set deep in the vastness of Kielder Forest it is one of Britain's largest nature resorts and home to the rare red squirrel along with many other species of wildlife. Some of the activities for your enjoyment at Kielder include sailing, fishing, walking, watersports etc. and there is also golf in the area.

CAMP SITE

The camp site is situated alongside the driveway leading up to the main farm house and we welcome families and well behaved groupsl. Surrounded by stunning countryside in a peaceful location, enjoy an overnight stay or stay longer and use the site as a base to explore this interesting area. It is an open site, mainly flat with some sheltered areas. We have space for 30 generous pitches. Campers have use of our clean, high standard washrooms and toilets. We also have a number of picnic benches for your use.

BED & BREAKFAST

All of Greencarts Farm's double or twin bedrooms are tastefully decorated and in keeping with the farm house style. They are all en-suite and have colour televisions and tea/coffee making facilities. Relax in comfortable surroundings and recuperate ready for the following days delights, which will begin with a hearty Northumbrian breakfast. Meals can be provided and special dietary needs can be catered for. Dogs are welcomed by arrangement.

BUNK HOUSE

More than your basic bunk barn, we provide excellent standards of bunk house accommodation. The bunk house sleeps 15 and has excellent kitchen and washroom facilities. The kitchen is equipped with cooker, fridge/freezer, microwave, kettle, toaster, TV, radio etc. The washrooms are situated beside the Bunk House and again are fitted to high standards. A drying/boot room is provided for Bunk House users. Traditional English Breakfasts are also offered to Bunk House guests. Stay form £10 per night, the Bunk House can also be rented exclusively for sole use.
