It is now a nature reserve run by the National Trust.

SNAPE: This is a small village that is known for the Maltings which are a set of 19th century buildings that were built on the banks of the River Alde for the malting of barley. These buildings have since been partially restored and converted into shops, galleries and a concert hall. Snape is near Aldeburgh and is only 6 miles away from the site.
