Castle Howard Camping & Caravanning
The Lakeside Holiday Park is situated across the Great Lake from Castle Howard which is one of the most sublime locations in Yorkshire. They have up to 20 pitches for touring caravans and motor homes as well as a comfortable location for tents.
The park is the ideal base for exploring York, the North York Moors, the east coast and the Yorkshire Wolds. The site’s rural setting offers peace and tranquillity as well as great access to bridleways and walking paths across the Howardian Hills’ Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
The Lakeside Holiday Park is a relaxed and informal site that is suitable for adults, families and groups. Each touring and motor home pitch in the touring field has electric hook-ups included in the price.
The site’s facilities include an amenities block with WCs, showers and sinks, coin operated hair dryers, a washing machine and a tumble dryer. The site does not have a café on-site but a short drive away you can visit Castle Howard Stable Courtyard. There you will find the Courtyard Café, Coffee Shop and Farm Shop. They are open all year and feature free admission and parking.
The Lakeside Holiday Park recommends that you book in advance of arriving to avoid disappointment if the park happens to be booked up.
