Pinewoods Holiday Park

Set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Pinewoods Holiday Park lies on the North Norfolk Heritage Coast. They are situated about ¾ a mile from the town of Wells-next-the-sea. Pinewoods Holiday Park is bounded on the north by a strip of mature pine trees and it is nestled beside a lovely sandy beach with attractive beach huts. East of the park is the entrance to Wells Harbour.

Pinewoods Holiday Park welcomes touring caravans, motor caravans and tents. They also have caravan holiday homes for hire and 491 privately-owned holiday homes.

There is always something relaxing to do at the site including paddling in the sea, taking a picnic on the dunes, watching the wildlife in the woods or just sitting on the beach and listening to the summer breeze while you watch the yachts.

Their touring area has many electric hook-up points and features new super pitches with water and drainage points in addition to electricity. They have modern toilet blocks that provide ample facilities with free hot water, showers, toilets and showers for the disabled, dish washing sinks and chemical toilet disposal points. There is a separate building that houses a laundrette with washing and drying facilities. There are also baby changing rooms available.

Pinewoods Holiday Park have a large number of standard hook-up pitches in addition to a new area of landscaped super pitches for the discerning caravanner. There is a also a large area for tenters. Every area has modern, clean toilet blocks that feature free hot water and showers. Pinewoods Holiday Park is very popular during the main holiday season so they recommend that you book in advance in order to secure your place.

There are miles and unspoilt beach and woodlands walks that you can enjoy along the coast from Pinewoods Holiday Park to Holkham Bay to the west. Visitors have the perfect opportunity to enjoy some peace and solitude. The National Nature Reserve and the salt marshes nearby are great places to go bird watching.

Along the coastline you will find many interesting fishing villages. Many of these have characteristic flint and brick cottages with pantile roofs such as the pretty 18th Century village of Burnham Market which features speciality shops and excellent eating establishments.

Nelson’s county has a rich history and wonderful architecture. Guests can visit some of the many great stately and museums. Very close you can reach Holkham Hall and Bygones Museum. Just a short drive away is Sandringham House.

There is cycle hire in the area so that you can explore the quiet country lanes by bicycle. You can also get on an old stream train and travel the coast in style.

Visitors can get closer to nature at one of the area’s many colourful gardens, vast parklands and nature reserves. There are also many art galleries and small crafts shops that display the works of local artists that have been inspired by the dramatic landscapes of North Norfolk to visit.

Attractions to enjoy include adventure playgrounds, riding centres, zoos, seal trips and action-packed theme parks.
