Grasmere Caravan Park
Located in Caister near Great Yarmouth, Grasmere Caravan Park is a family-run site that has touring caravan pitches available for hire.
The touring pitches are fully-serviced. Some are on grass and other are on all-weather hard-standings. You can book the hard-standing pitches in advance but the drainage is good and the ground is hard on all of the pitches. They are a sturdy tractor on the site in the extremely unlikely case that there would be a problem.
The pitches are supplied with a fresh-water tap and foul-water drain as well as an electrical supply, TV-aerial connection and a dustbin. There are collections on Monday and Friday. Grasmere Caravan Park also provides centralised facilities for recycling newspaper and glass.
Grasmere Caravan Park tends to attract families that prefer peace and quiet over activities. Many use the site as a base to explore the surrounding countryside, beach and Great Yarmouth along with the Broads and other local attractions.
Their children’s facilities are limited to a small play area on Grasmere Caravan Park. They do not accept dogs or teenage parties at their site.
Grasmere Caravan Park’s emphasis has always been on personal and friendly service. There are 4 public houses, 5 supermarkets including Tescos with cashpoints and a Lidl store, a butchers, a newsagent and post office, a chemist, several hairdressers, a wide range of restaurants and takeaways and a bookmakers within a mile of the site’s entrance.
Take the A149 from Great Yarmouth and enter Caister at the roundabout by Yarmouth Stadium. After 0.5 miles, turn left, just before bus stop. Signposted.
Note: if entering Caister from A1064 – as you approach Caister Parish Church you need to be in the left-hand lane. The right-hand lane is for traffic entering the Old Hall and new Lidl store only.
