Tresseck Camp Site
Tresseck Campsite is situated on the banks of the River Wye mid-way between the city of Hereford and the market town of Ross-on-Wye. The campsite itself is set in the quaint village of Hoarwithy.
Tresseck Campsite is perfect for those who are looking for peace and tranquillity next to one of the UK’s most beautiful rivers. It is a great base from which to explore Herefordshire’s unspoilt countryside, land and launch your canoe and enjoy a relaxed day of fishing.
The campsite is located on an old river meadow with plenty of space to stretch out. Only tents and campervans are allowed.
The site is for real campers only, featuring cold running water, portaloo’s and open campfire facilities. If cooking over an open fire is not your thing then the New Harp Inn is located just 200 metres away. They serve excellent food from noon until 10pm so going hungry won’t be a problem.
Tresseck Campsite has fishing rights along some 250 metres of the River Wye. The site is blessed with a naturally sheltered landing site and wooden steps up to the stop of the river bank, making it ideal for launching or recovering canoes.
The site is located mid way between Fownhope near Hereford and Ross-on-Wye the site is an excellent stop off point for canoeists that need a place to camp.
DIRECTIONS FROM HEREFORD: Follow the A49 south through Much Birch, take the next left signposted Hoarwithy (turning down Laskett Lane), follow for 2 miles and The New Harp Inn is opposite the T-junction, with the entrance to the campsite just to the left of the Inn.
