Far Peak Campsite is situated just a mile from the market town of Northleach and nine miles from the city of Cirencester.
The pitches are on grass and electric hook ups are available if required. There is no lighting within the campsite itself, which makes it an ideal location for star gazers.
Open fires are prohibited, but you can bring a barbecue, as long as it is raised from the ground, so as not to burn the grass.
There are showers and toilets and sinks for dish washing, but there is no mains sewerage, so campers must use the bins provided. Rubbish should be sorted and deposited in the recycling bins on site.
There is no children’s playground or shop, but there are shops in Northleach.
The site is ideal for campers who want simplicity. The beautiful countryside is a haven for walkers and this really is a place just to relax and enjoy the views.
There are many pretty villages nearby. Northleach is a small unspoilt market town with an interesting medieval church, but if you want to go farther afield then visit Cirencester.
Cirencester is an attractive market town, which was once one of the most important places in Roman Britain, visit the Roman amphitheatre, the Corinium Museum and the Abbey grounds.
Approaching from Cirencester, take the A429 for Stow on the Wold. Pass through Fossebridge and after a further 2 miles take the turning on the right, just after the garage signposted for Ablington and Bibury. The driveway to the property will be found after a short distance on the right hand side.
