Featuring lovely views facing south and west towards the South Downs, Idle Hours (formerly Owlsbury Park) is a quiet, rural Adults Only site that offers guests basic facilities.
Idle Hours has its own coarse fishing lake across the field that features carp up to 20 lb, perch, tench and roach. Also 300 metres away there is Crowborough Angling Club. Guests have a chance of seeing deer including white hart during the quiet early morning and evening times. Other wildlife on the site include pheasants, rabbits and foxes.
The park’s facilities include drinking water, CDP, toilets with solar lighting, a shower and a wash-up area. There are solar powered electric hook-ups available for guests. The site has 5 hard standings and 15 grass pitches. The site allows well behaved dogs on the site as long as they are kept on a lead at all times and that their owner cleans up after them. Dog owners must bring their own poo bags. There are sheep and cattle in the next door field that could be disturbed by dogs that are roaming free. There are picnic tables and benches scattered around the site. They can provide barbeques on request.
Near the park guests can find the start of several footpaths. In just over a mile you can reach 2 pubs, both which serve great food at reasonable prices. In both Jarvis Brook and Crowborough there are many takeaways, restaurants and food shops.
