Moor View Touring Park is surrounded by beautiful Devon countryside with enchanting views towards Dartmoor close to the South Devon coast. Owners Liz and Edward have created an adult only rural retreat where guests enjoy excellent facilities and features often only found on larger caravan sites. Moor View is ideal for exploring Dartmoor, glorious South Devon beaches and the South Hams picture-postcard villages.
Moor View Touring Park offers 4 star facilities plus a few extras to make your stay in Devon a little nicer. Each of our caravan and motorhome pitches are âdouble hard-standings’ with electric, fresh water and grey-waste drain. So no need to carry water and there’s plenty of room for your awning. You can choose from three pitch sizes up to a maximum 28ft long.
Immaculately kept grounds with mature trees and shrubs give Moor View Touring Park a garden atmosphere.
You can stay with us and tour Devon at any time of the year. Moor View’s heated park building includes a washing-up area and fully equipped laundry. Facilities are kept spotlessly clean, there’s plenty of hot water and showers are free.
Pets are welcome at Moor View. We are a dog friendly caravan site with two exercise areas.
Our shop sells fresh milk, eggs and newspapers to order. We stock caravan essentials and Calor Gas. Just minutes away is an excellent Spar/Garage open 6.00am-10.00pm with a good range of groceries and drinks.
5 minutes walk from the park, The California Inn has regularly won âDevon Dining Pub of the Year’ awards for its restaurant and bar-food.
OUT AND ABOUT
Fishing, horse-riding, golf, surfing, sailing, swimming pool and leisure centre, cinemas and theatres are all convenient from Moor View Touring Park. Whether you like to walk, cycle or drive, the Devon South Hams offer diverse scenery and attractions within a short distance.
You can see Dartmoor National Park from the park; 365 square miles of high tors, remote paths, stunning views and open pasture where sheep, cattle and ponies roam free. Visit historic towns at Princetown, Widdicombe and Buckfastleigh, and find fact and folklore about life on Dartmoor.
Moorland gives way to rolling Devon hills, wooded valleys and estuaries, ideal for fishing and boating. Kingsbridge and Salcombe are attractive harbour resorts with National Trust properties nearby.
Explore glorious Devon coast along the South West Coast Path a few miles from Moor View Touring Park. Unspoiled coves and beaches at Wonwell, the Erme estuary and Mothecombe are perfect. Visit Bigbury-on-Sea for Burgh Island, which is only accessible by sea-tractor at high tide.
A trip along Start Bay from Slapton Sands to the historic Naval town at Dartmouth is a great day out. The river bustles with boats and ferries crossing to Kingswear. Dart Valley steam trains operate from Kingswear to Paignton and Buckfastleigh to Totnes.
The seaport of Plymouth is under 30 minutes from Moor View caravan park. Watch ships come and go from The Hoe, stroll to the National Marine Aquarium around the marina, or enjoy retail therapy in the shopping malls. A Tamar River trip takes you past Mount Edgecombe gardens and the Navy dockyards to the Devon â Cornwall border.
We look forward to welcoming you to Moor View Touring Caravan Park, our adult only rural retreat with the personal touch.
