Abbey Farm Caravan Park

Abbey Farm Caravan Park, Llangollen is at the foot of the famous Horseshow Pass is a beautiful park surrounded by high hills and mountains and bordered by rippling streams. In the centre of the park you can view the ancient ruins of Valle Crusis Abbey.

The park provides facilities for camping, touring caravans and motor homes and there are the hugely popular camping pods for hire.

Abbey Farm Caravan Park in Llangollen features electric hook-ups, shower and toilet facilities. You may also choose to use a seasonal pitch, which allows you to leave your caravan at the park and use it as much as you wish, including the electricity and the awning.

For the most part Abbey Farm Caravan Park, Llangollen only allows bookings from families or couples. Booking must be done before arrival at the park. The park does welcome Duke of Edinburgh groups if there is adult supervision.

Outdoor Adventure Groups are welcome as long as there is a prior arrangement made with the group leaders and a deposit is paid to the park. The deposit is required to determine that there will be good behaviour on the part of the group.

If you plan on attending the town’s International Musical Eisteddfod the park is a great location to stay. Abbey Farm Caravan Park, Llangollen is open all year except January.

GLAMPING at ABBEY FARM CARAVAN PARK, LLANGOLLEN
If you don’t want the hassle of bringing your own tent and want a bit more comfort there are camping pods for hire. Nicely situated next to the brook they come with a table and chairs, electric sockets, lighting and heating.

NOTE: There are no beds in the pods . You will need to bring with you air beds/ rollmats and sleeping bags.

Llangollen is the gateway to North Wales and offers many attractions. The river and the glorious Dee Valley are a centre for kayaking and white water rafting also gorge walking and abseiling as well as an ideal spot for walking and relaxation.

The Llangollen Heritage Steam Railway and the canal Wharf are great places for a trip back in time. From the Wharf you can take the gentle horse drawn canal boat to the Chain Bridge and Horseshoe Falls. Or the trip across the remarkable Pontcysyllte Aqueduct, a World Heritage site built by Thomas Telford in 1805.

The Royal Pavilion in Abbey Road attracts visitors from across the world for the International Musical Eisteddfod and hosts the annual Hamper Llangollen Food Festival. The railway holds Thomas the Tank weekends, Beer Train events and Santa Specials.

Abbey Farm is also ideal base for travelling further afield – from the lakes of Bala and Betws y Coed to the mountains of Snowdonia and the Coastlines of North and Mid Wales.
