Whitestone Caravan Park
Located just outside the small village of Ayside, Whitestone Caravan Park is a great place for your holiday stay. They are located near the holiday resort of Grange-Over-Sands which overlooks Morecambe Bay. They are located just 7 miles South of Lake Windermere.
Whitestone Caravan Park is set in peaceful woodlands and is surrounded by wildlife. From the site you can see magnificent views of the Southern Lake District.
The park features 85 holiday homes that are set out in a random fashion. They are all privately owned and are sited on individual plots. There is no subletting allowed for the homes. Each home features full services of electricity, water and drainage. The sizes of the plots vary but the park tries to cater to holidays that are 37′ x 12′.
The park has all the usual amenities including modern shower and toilet blocks, parking besides your accommodation and a public telephone.
Whitestone Caravan Park is located in a great location to buy a holiday home. It is near to rivers for those who love to fish.
You can enjoy visiting a variety of attractions in the local area including the World of Beatrix Potter, the National Park Centre, and the Lakeside and Haverthwaite Railway.
For the 2010 season, our park fees are £1700 fully inclusive of local rates, VAT and the electric supply charges. Electric units are metered separately and charged retrospectively. The season runs from 1st March to 15th November inclusive.
When a new holiday home is brought onto the Park, we charge a maximum one-off connection fee of £1250.00*
This includes the following:
Full gas, water, electric and drainage connections
Paved walkway to front of holiday home
Wooden skirting to underneath of holiday home
One set of metal access steps
From the North or South, leave the M6 at junction 36, on to the A590. Follow signs towards Newby Bridge and Barrow. The Park is on the right hand side of the road 1 mile beyond High Newton. Leave the A590 at the sign for Ayside, and turn immediately left under the main road. The Park entrance is straight in front of you.
If approaching from Bowness/Windermere or from the West, we are on the left hand side of the road 2 miles past Newby Bridge. Leave the A590 at the sign for High Newton/Ayside, and turn left. We are 150m down the hill on the right.
