Oxfordshire is a rural retreat, known worldwide for its beauty, character and charm. One of Oxfordshire’s most famous attractions and the heart of the county is the city of Oxford – known as ‘the city of dreaming spires’ – home to the world famous University, and used as the setting for numerous film and TV productions. It’s the perfect place for a trip through history or just to relax and enjoy the cafés. 

For the more active visitor, Oxfordshire offers some stunning scenery which proves to be a great backdrop for any walking, cycling or horse riding. You will find the county home to the beautiful Oxfordshire Cotswolds, North Wessex Downs and the Chilterns, which are all officially recognised as Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty and therefore perfect places for exploration. 

And with the World Heritage Site of Blenheim Palace, birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill, here too – Oxfordshire certainly has it all.
