In days gone by, caravanning has been an essentially 'typical British holiday'.  It had lost its charm and become somewhat of a 'Carry On' memory of old.  Nowadays, though, it is enjoying a comeback with stars such as Jamie Oliver, Lenny Kravitz and Kate Moss taking up the hobby.  Motorhomes are now a chic form of travel with people travelling all over, from Cornwall - for the surfing fanatics out there - to France - for the weather, and more importantly, the wine.  Caravanning is now one of the most popular up-and-coming forms of UK holiday getaway's and caravan clubs around the UK have thousands of members returning year after year.  Especially now with the current situations at airports, from the tight security regimes to the endless time consuming queues and minimal hand luggage.  The lure of the caravanning 'road trip' is now an exciting prospect where you can choose your own schedule, your own pace and your own amenities.  With Motorhomes now coming equipped with hi-tech gadgets such as sat-nav and power showers, those of us who were concerned about getting lost in the wilderness and having to take showers in a communal WC can now rest at ease.  The days of 'Cool Caravans' are upon us.
