Alston Farm Camping & Caravan Site

Alston Farm Camping & Caravan Site is a working family farm and campsite that lies on 12 acres of land. Their site is very sheltered and is set in some of Devon's loveliest countryside. The farm has made an ideal habitat for a variety of birds. There is an abundance of wildlife visible at the campsite.

The farm's camping area is protected by the woodland and hedges that border it. This creates plenty of shelter for the campsite. They have level ground available for all touring vans. They offer slightly sloping, level and terraced areas for tents.

They have modern toilet blocks that include hot showers, hot water, wash hand basins, dish washing sinks and hair dryers. They have laundry equipment available as well as a public phone box. The site has its own large children's play area and plenty of room for children to play ball games and other sports. The site provides a dog walking area. They have plenty of water taps in well-positioned spots around the site. They have space for overflow camping during high season.

Alston Farm Camping & Caravan Site has its own on-site shop that is open during busy times. You can purchase Calor and Camping Gas from them. They now have Wi-Fi access available over their entire site.

Alston Farm Camping & Caravan Site is in an ideal base to explore the lovely countryside and coast of South Devon. To the North lies Dartmoor, with legendary Tors, cobble stone villages and the beautiful River Dart.

The stunning South West coast path is easily accessible from Kingsbridge, with beautiful scenery, wildlife and walks for all abilities.

The region is popular for an extensive range of outdoor pursuits, walking, cycling, sailing, kayaking, surfing, horse-riding, golf etc.

There are also many attractions to visit such as beautiful gardens, grand houses including many National Trust properties. There are family friendly theme parks, open farms, steam trains and boat trips.

The South Hams has numerous pretty villages and traditional pubs serving real ales and tasty locally sourced produce, the seafood is excellent.

Recommended beaches such as Blackpool Sands, Bantham and Thurlestone are within easy reach. Hope Cove offers a variety of beaches and coastal cliff walks. Salcombe and Dartmouth are a must, with galleries and cafes and beautiful views.

For families, the action packed Woodlands Leisure Park is only half an hours drive. Paignton Zoo is excellent as is the Plymouth Aquarium.

 

DIRECTIONS:

From Exeter on the A38 travelling south take the turn off towards Totnes A384 and Kingsbridge A381. Continue to follow signs for Kingsbridge until on approaching Kingsbridge, the signs for Salcombe should then be followed. The Kingsbridge to Salcombe Road is the A381 and Alston Farm Camping and Caravan Site is sign posted on the left hand side priior to entering the village of Malborough. Follow the road down for about 1 mile and Alston Farm Camping & Caravan Site will be found in its own secluded valley.
