Park Foot Caravan & Camping Park

Set in stunning scenery, Park Foot is a family-run park that features a Country Club, licenced bar, restaurant, takeaway and a games room.

You can choose to have an action packed holiday or you can choose to do nothing at all. Some choices are launching your boat from the private beach by the Lakeside, fishing on the lake, walking on the fells or going pony trekking.

Park Foot has 2 fields for camping in their main park area. One field is located below the shop and has electric hook-ups. For booking purposes they call this area the "Shop Field". The other field is located below the club and can accommodate tents and motor homes. It is called "Sandall Field".

There is a stream that runs through Sandall Field that is very popular with families. There is also a camping field that is beside the lake. It gives a picturesque setting for long summer nights. It is called "Aikbeck Field". This field has toilet and shower facilities.

Touring caravans, tents and motor homes can use 10 amp electric hook-up pitches that are available on either gravel or hard standing. You must book these pitches in advance. You can park your car next to your pitch. Conveniently placed around the site are drinking water taps. There are modern facilities provided.

Just 6 miles away is a golf course.

Ullswater is regarded by many as the loveliest of the English lakes. People have compared it to Lake Lucerne in Switzerland. The area's attractions include the Ullswater 'Steamers' which offer trips around the lake calling at Pooley Bridge, Glenridding, and Howtown.

Located at the southern end of the lake is the village of Glenridding which is popular with tourists of all kinds. Mountains walkers can scale England's 3rd highest mountain, Helvellyn, there. There are also many other challenging peaks.

Near the northern extremity of the lake is Pooley Bridge. The village features a narrow 16th century bridge that goes over the River Eamont as it flows out of Ullswater. Pooley Bridge is overlooked by Dunmallard Hill which was the site of an Iron Age fort. Ullswater forms the border between the ancient counties of Cumberland and Westmorland.
