Welcoming visitors to Cumbria for 50 years, The Quiet Site is an award-winning park that is set amidst the fells that surround the Ullswater Valley. The park is in an idyllic setting and yet is just 15 minutes from the M6.

The Quiet Site is surrounded by some of the best fell walking in the country. Less than a 20 minutes' drive from the park are the access points for Helvellyn, Blencathra, Skiddaw, High Street and Aira Force.

The area is perfect for a great holiday for all ages with its great fell walking, numerous interesting and unique local attractions and mesmerising scenery.

The Quiet Site welcomes touring caravans, motor homes and tents. They offer a variety of pitches that come either with or without hook-up facilities and either hard or soft standing.

SELF-CATERING COTTAGES

You can hire two interesting and unique cottages that are located adjacent to The Quiet Site. They date back to the 16th century and have been converted in such a way that they can be let individually or as a single unit.

The cottages feature their own stone terrace with garden furniture and a barbeque. The cottages have exclusive use of a grassy area with sunken trampoline, playhouse and garden toys. There is off-road parking available for two cars at each cottage.

CARAVAN STORAGE

There is a year round storage facility and siting service in Penrith called the Lakes Caravan Storage.

You can leave your caravan in their capable hands. Sometimes it's hard to find somewhere to keep your unit when you aren't using it. Lakes Caravan Storage addresses this problem. They provide an ideal storage solution which includes a towing service to The Quiet Site so that your unit is ready and waiting for you when you arrive at the site.

You make your booking to The Quiet Site in the normal way and pay for it in the normal way. The caravans are sited ready for your visit and returned to storage after use.

You can also pick up your caravan independently and use it on other sites. Lakes Caravan Storage is 5 minutes from M6 J40, off the A66.

Lakes Caravan Storage is CaSSOA registered, which is approved by insurance companies and often earns a discount against your premium.
