Located near the market town of Pickering with its famous Steam Railway, Wayside Park and Lakes is a sophisticated 5-Star holiday destination. SEASONAL TOURING

Wayside Park and Lakes has designated three adjacent areas for Seasonal tourers. From here you can enjoy all that the North York Moors and the Yorkshire Coast has to offer without worrying about moving your caravan or incurring the ever rising costs of towing.

Our season starts from the 1st April to the 31st October and our annual fee includes electricity and storage on the park for the rest of the year. All pitches are hard standing.

There is plenty of space to discover the local wild life and there are plenty of paths and walks into the surrounding countryside most of which tend to converge on the local pub !!

The Seasonal pitches are adjacent to the Park's newly updated and modern shower block, ideal whether you are staying for a short weekend or a longer period. Wayside Park and Lakes has everything that guests need for an enjoyable stay.

STATIC HOLIDAY HOMES

When you own your own static caravan at Wayside Park and Lakes you can escape to the countryside whenever you wish to unwind as soon as you arrive at the park. The park's location gives you great freedom to explore the beauty of the North Yorkshire Moors and Coast by day. When you return to Wayside Park and Lakes in the evening you can sit on your veranda and watch the sun set.

All of the park's static caravans are manufactured to the highest standards. The caravans are spacious and fully-furnished. Inside there are fitted kitchens, bedrooms with en-suite facilities and there is the option of get central heating. They provide everything that you need to be comfortable no matter what the season. Wayside Park and Lakes also offers a range of quality veranda packages to enhance your static caravan with an excellent outdoor living space for those nice summer evenings.

OUT AND ABOUT

There is access to explore the Yorkshire Coastline from Whitby to Spurn from the park. Along the way you take in Robin Hoods Bay and Flamborough Head. The North Yorkshire Moors provide magnificent views for walkers and cyclists. On a clear day you will be able to look west over to the Yorkshire Dales. Only minutes away from the park is Dalby Forest which has a national cycling route. The park is not far from great destinations such as Rosedale Abbey and the historical Nunnington Hall. Just half an hour away from the site is the market town of Helmsley which is an excellent place to spend some hours on market day looking through the stalls and enjoying a coffee.

A short drive to the South West will take guests to the historic walled city of York where the spectacular York Minster is located. York is a great place to wander and admire the narrow streets, including The Shambles. Betty's Tearoom is a great place to take a rest during your day out. You can visit York's Designer Outlet to find some bargains.

The little known Yorkshire Wolds are a worthwhile place to visit for those that wish to go further afield. The Yorkshire Wolds feature rolling hills and valleys, picturesque villages and hamlets such as Thixendale and fine historic houses such as Sledmere House. Those wanting to go a little further on their holiday should definitely explore this area.
