Set in idyllic countryside adjacent to a fine golf course and woodland, Glenfield Caravan Park is a lovely secluded south facing family-run park for your holiday.

Glenfield Caravan Park has 30 hard standings for touring caravans and motor homes with level grass for tents. They have AA 3 pennants.

The site features a new centrally heated toilet and shower bock that has disabled facilities. They have fully fitted laundry facilities. There are some good restaurants and pub in the local area.

Glenfield Caravan Park adjoins a good golf course. There is plenty of walking nearby at Hetchel Woods nature reserve.

Nearby activities include golf, tennis, boating, fishing and horse riding.

Just a short way away are beautiful village pubs that all serve great food.

PLACES TO VISIT

? Harrogate (8 miles): Here you will find a famous spa, royal baths and an exhibition centre.

? Harewood House: This is one of the treasure houses of England. The house was built in the 18th century and has art collections to rival the finest in the land in the setting of Yorkshire's most beautiful landscape.

? Knaresborough (9 miles): Here you will find a castle, River Nidd, Mother Shipton's Cave and the Petrifying Well.

? Leeds (8 miles): The new Royal Armouries moved from the Great Tower of London. Here you will find Tetley Brewery Wharf, Medical Museum at St James (TV's Jimmys). Their city centre features great shopping facilities and one of the largest undercover markets. It is the birthplace of Marks and Spencer. Other attractions include Roundhay Park with its glorious Tropical World, tennis courts and boating lake.

? Other attractions include Emmerdale Farm country, Howarth and the Yorkshire Dales.

? Wetherby: This is a delightful Market Town and is home to Wetherby Racecourse. They have a giant car boot and market on Sundays. You can enjoy River Wharfe fishing, restaurants and good pool and a leisure centre.

DIRECTIONS:

From Leeds on A58 for approximately 7 miles, turn left at Shadwell/Wyke/Harewood turn, follow lane and take right fork at caravan sign. Continue for 1.5 miles and at bottom of hill, site on left.
