Camping & Caravanning

Situated in a peaceful corner of West Cumbria, Shepards Views Holidays and Camping Site is near the sea and the Lake District mountains. It is the perfect area for a relaxing break.

The site is run by Julie and Stephen Shepherd. It is set in 210 acres of farmland. During dusk or dawn you might have a chance to spot the resident Barn Owl hunting for food. You can also watch the site's bats which look fascinating as they dart around in the evening sky.

They offer a selection of fully serviced hard standing or grass pitches for caravans. There is a large grassy area for campers that features a recently constructed family and unisex amenity building that is kept pristinely clean.

They have a large grassy are for camping. Near it is an immaculately clean family and unisex amenity block that features under floor heating, showers, wash basins and toilet facilities. It also has electric hair dryers and shaving points.

Just a mile away at Seascale are local shops and facilities.

The site is a great location for exploring the beaches and the Wasdale Valley. You can also tour the local area's attractions while keeping clear of the Lake District crowds.

SELF-CATERING COTTAGES

The park offers three new self-catering cottages. They offer the holiday guest the choice or mix or luxury, caravan or camping on located on one site. They created the cottage units from an 18th century barn and have retained some of the original features.

DIRECTIONS

Shepherds Views Holidays is situated right on the very edge of the Lake District national Park on the West Coast of Cumbria. We are close to Gosforth and Santon Bridge which are the only road gateways to Wasdale and Wastwater, voted England's best view in 2008. Once you are on the A595 between Ravenglass and Egremont, just take the turn off as you go through Holmrook. Keep following the road - about 1 mile - until you come to us on your right hand side.
