Facilities
  • Disserth Caravan and Camping Park is tucked underneath St. Cewydd on one side and is bordered by the River Ithon. This peaceful location makes it an ideal camping and caravanning location.

The park is set amongst natural, peaceful grounds. It is a compact, sheltered and level park that has been accommodating travellers for centuries. It was once an overnight stop for drovers heading for the Midlands. Today it is an idyllic location to bring your caravan, motor home or tent for a relaxing holiday from the hustle of bustle of modern life. It also makes an excellent base from which to explore the natural beauty of the heart of Wales.

They have 30 sheltered, level pitches available. A majority of them are informal grass pitches but they have added 5 hard standing pitches that all have an adjacent water tap and grey water drainage for the convenience of guests.

They have 16 amp electric hook-ups available for every pitch.

The site features a purposely built log cabin that houses toilet and washing facilities. It has a series of airy, windowed individual rooms that offer total privacy. All 8 rooms have a toilet and a full-size wash basin and 5 of these rooms have been created to meet the needs of wheelchair users. They have another shower room that you can book for exclusive private use. It is just like have an en-suite in a hotel. In another part of the building there is a coin-operated hair drier that offers privacy. This entire block is on one level and has ramped approaches. The only necessary step is a 100mm rise into the shower with the exception of the wheelchair access room where the shower is incorporated into the floor.

You do not usually need to reserve your place except during Bank Holidays and the Royal Welsh Show which is held the 3rd Monday in July.

Away from all of the touring pitches, the recycling and waste disposal facilities are discreetly located in the entrance yard. The grey water and toilet disposal points are also located here.

There are water points strategically placed on the touring park. Some of the pitches have their own tap and grey water drainage.

The site provides a dish washing room with a fridge and a microwave for the use of campers.

Near the dish washing room is the laundry room which has a sink, coin-operated washing machine and a tumble drier. The laundry room also features ironing facilities. The site’s tourist information leaflets are displayed in the laundry facility so that guests can read about local attractions while they wait for their washing.

Available on site are Calor Gas butane and propane refills and several sizes of Camping Gaz bottles.

    SEASONAL PITCHES
For those who wish to enjoy Disserth longer we offer a few informal seasonal pitches for touring caravans. A modest daily storage fee is levied and the normal pitch fees are paid when the caravan is in use. All we ask is that you telephone 24 hours before your visit and we will place the caravan on the park ready for your arrival.
