    Situated amongst the beauty of the wonderful Lancashire countryside, Abbey Farm Caravan Park has facilities for all kinds of guests to enjoy all sorts of holidays.

    You can enjoy tranquil breaks amidst the beauty of the wonderful Lancashire countryside or action packed adventures that make the most of the attractions that are nearby and of the site’s facilities.

    Abbey Farm Caravan Park accommodates tourers, motor homes, trailer tents and tents. You can also choose to purchase your own more permanent holiday home at the park with one of their static caravan holiday homes.

    The amenities here are first-class. The hot showers are free, there is a separate bathroom fully suited for the disabled and individual shower rooms. There is an undercover dish washing and vegetable preparation area, a laundry room with commercial sized washer, dryer, hand wash, spin dryer, and iron. There are two chemical disposal points.

    The shop has an off-license and stocks an incredible range of food, drink, sweets, ices and toys.

    The park has a 1½ mile perimeter walk through open pasture by their fishing lake and through the planted woodland. This enhances the sense of peace and quiet in the countryside.

    The new lodge development ‘Woodlands View’ is in a private field, apart from the rest of the park. Single and twin unit lodges are available and the park is open all year round.

    Woodlands View has the sense of a tranquil relaxing haven. You will be awoken to birds singing, trees rustling and will be forgiven for thinking you are nestled deep in the heart of natures own garden.

    Activities at Abbey Farm Caravan Park

    Abbey Farm Caravan Park has recreation facilities for all guests that want to partake. There is a 1½ acre field that contains an activity play ground, netball, volleyball, football, an open field area and even a toddlers’ play area with a miniature climbing feature.

    There are indoor recreation facilities that include table tennis, table football, a pool table and a toddlers’ corner that is safely separated from older children.

    The park shop has an off-license and stocks an incredible range of food, drink, sweets, ices and toys.

    Abbey Farm’s library has over 400 books available. You can borrow one, read it and return it at the end of your visit or when you return to the park again.

    While in the library you can plan days out with access to the all the Tourist Information that tells what there is to see and do in the area. Lancashire is a diverse, beautiful area that offers an abundance of activities and attractions.

    Places to visit near Abbey Farm Caravan Park

    Liverpool is less than 30 minutes’ drive away with great shopping and many things to see including the Albert Dock and Maritime Museum and a great selection of Beatles Tours.

    Anthony Gormley’s “Another Place” on Crosby Beach is well worth a visit. The Tudor splendour of Speke Hall and Rufford Old Hall, both owned by the National Trust, is also not to be missed.

    The charming Victorian seaside town of Southport is 20 minutes drive away. There you’ll find old shopping arcades, antique shops, second hand bookshops, good restaurants and great fish and chips.

    Cyclists and walkers can enjoy the towpath of the Leeds-Liverpool canal. Also nearby are the Cheshire Lines, a cycle track and footpath created from the old Liverpool-to-Southport railway line, and the Trans-Pennine Trail runs from Southport to Hornsea.
