Wellhouse Farm is a small family run working farm and is the ideal place to unwind and view some of Northumbria's most beautiful and historic countryside.
Whether you enjoy walking, fishing, cycling or just relaxing, this caravan park is the perfect place for you.
The park itself has well maintained facilities, including a new amenity block with modern toilet units, showers, disabled access, laundry, dishwashing area and main reception.
There is a choice of 45 pitches for tourers, tents and motor homes, with electric hookups, hardstandings and internal road.
We have farm footpaths for walking and also an area to exercise dogs.
On the park there is a newly constructed reception, toilet & shower building with a laundry and dishwashing room built to a high standard from natural sandstone and slate. A wide choice of foodstuffs is available at nearby Corbridge and also at Hexham.
There is a mixture of hardstanding and grass pitches for tents and caravans with electric hookups and a smaller number of super pitches with electric and drainage.
Being centrally located in peaceful suroundings, we provide an excellent base from which to explore this beautiful part of the country.
Historic Corbridge village is three miles west of the park with a good selection of art & craft shops, exclusive clothes shop and delicatessens. The ancient market town of Hexham is only a ten minute drive with its spectacular abbey, specialist shops and supermarkets.
Wellhouse Farm is situated at the heart of Hadrian's Wall country, only one mile from the world heritage site, so access to the wall and all it has to offer is easy. Nearby are Roman forts and milecastles such as Chesters, Vindolanda, Housesteads & Corstopitum.
Northumberland as an abundance of historic castles and houses to visit - Alnwick Castle and the ward-winning Alnwick Garden are within easy reach. Sailing at Kielder Water, golfing at the renowed golf courses of Slaley Hall, Matfen Hall (2 miles), Close House, fishing on the famous River Tyne (3 miles), Whittledene Reservoir (1mile), walking and site-seeing in the Northumberland National Park and the Northumberland coastline and beaches.
We are one day's walk/cycle ride from the start of the Coast to Coast footpath.
Futher afield in County Durham you could spend a day at Beamish Museum (40 mins) and visit Durham Cathedral.
Newcastle is a twenty minute drive east with everything you would expect from a city and much more! Theatres, museums, art gallerys, Sage opera house and one of Europe's largest shopping complex, the Metrocentre, are all ideal for rainy days.
