Upper Hurst Farm is just 2 miles from the beautiful village of Hartington, offers first class facilities with an unrivalled panorama of almost 360 degree views over open countryside. This is English countryside at its best and is perfect for nature lovers, walkers and cyclists alike.
Upper Hurst Farm is a brand new, family-run site opening in April 2012, which will offer superb facilities comprising 24 generous super-pitches (11x11 metres) and a small camping area with the option of electric hook-up for 6 tents. Six of the super-pitches will be available all year round.
On-site facilities will include a luxurious, purpose-built toilet and shower block in traditional stone, which will incorporate underfloor heating with LED lighting throughout. There will be 3 toilets and showers each for ladies and men, plus a disabled toilet and shower that will double-up as a parent and child washroom. There will also be a laundry and pot-washing room. All the hot water and heating requirements are to be supplied by thermal solar panels with an air source heat pump as back-up. Free range eggs are available for sale from our chickens and camping gas will also be available for sale.
The caravan and camping site is set in 30 acres of farmland at the southern end of the Peak District National Park with walks right from the site. Beresford Dale is only a mile away, which can be reached via footpaths or road, and takes you through some magnificent limestone scenery including Wolfscote Dale, Biggin Dale (a nature reserve), Milldale and Dovedale. Two very popular cycle routes are also very close to the caravan site, including the Manifold Valley, (approximately1 mile) and the Tissington Trail, which is about 3 miles from the site.
Upper Hurst Farm is just 2 miles from the picturesque village of Hartington by road or by footpath and is under 10 miles to the market towns of Buxton, Leek, Ashbourne, Matlock and Bakewell, which offer a wide range of retail facilities and leisure activities.
For those that wish to eat out the highly commended and family-friendly Manifold Inn, is within walking distance, being less than a mile away. In Hartington there are a number of pubs and a high quality hotel, The Charles Cotton, which also has electric bikes available to rent.
Upper Hurst Farm will be the perfect place for relaxing caravan and camping holidays.
