The Wheatsheaf is in an idyllic location with panoramic views of some of the finest Lakeland fells, Whinlatter, Hobcarton, Hopegill Head, Whiteside and Grassmoor.

If you are looking for complete peace and quiet, that back-to-nature feeling, then The Wheatsheaf is a great place for camping and caravans (space and electricity hook-up for 10 tourer vans).

The campsite, where all are welcome but is especially ideal for families, is spacious so that there is no chance of tripping over a neighbour's tent pegs. A shower block and toilets with hot and cold water, along with drying facilities are also on hand. Newly instored washing machine and dryer is also available.

The campsite is open from March until November and we welcome Touring Caravans, Motor Homes and Tents.

We also have for hire 4-berth and 6-berth caravan holiday homes.

In the vicinity are cycle hire, fishing, sailing, golf and swimming. The nearest beach is 10 miles away.
