The Hideaway is an exclusive, small family run tipi site, open between July and August...

Less than 10 miles from beautiful Lands End, arty St Ives and market town St Just, 7 miles from the train station and A30 at Penzance... and yet a million miles away from any thoughts of work, deadlines and the rush of modern life.

Here we offer you the opportunity to get back to nature while still in comfort, meaning we suit anyone from seasoned campers to folk trying an outdoorsy holiday for the very first time.

Our five tipi's can be found nestled into three acres of smallholding, overlooking the glistening blue sea and directly attached to the edge of 54 acres of Chun Downs Nature Reserve. The Hideaway can be whatever you want it to be, luxuriously equipped without loosing the feel of what traditional camping is all about. Each tipi sleeps up to four people, which creates a nice number of people on site at any one time, while still keeping the intimate atmosphere which is lost with some larger sites... Perfect for couples, artists, photographers, walkers, families, surfers and dreamers alike, there is something for everyone.

A covered eating area with straw bale tables, a fully equipped cooking tipi, large campfire, barbeque's, fridge/freezer, power sockets, family bathroom with hot running spring water shower all await you…

DIRECTIONS From Penzance Direction (A30):
Stay on the A30 past Penzance toward Madron, turn off A30 right towards Madron, continue through Madron following signs for Morvar, after approx 5 miles start looking out for the tipi signs! The first tipi sign is giving you warning that you are approx 1 mile from the next turning you need to take, take a left when you see the sign for Carne Farm and The Hideaway Tipi on your left, take the road through the farm (following arrows on the tipi signs all the way) head out of the farmyard and up the hill along a bumpy track...approx half a mile along you will find a crossroads, turn left here and you will also see a sign for The Hideaway...you have arived!
