Tan-y-fron is a small, quiet, family run park offering pitches for touring caravans, motor-homes pitches and camping pitches for tents. It is centrally located for touring Snowdonia, north and mid-Wales or just relaxing and enjoying a break.
We are the nearest caravan and camping site to Dolgellau being less than 10 minutes' walk from the centre - half a mile away - with scenic views to the hills beyond.

It is set in private grounds with an abundance of mature, landscaped gardens, having previously won the 'Wales in Bloom' competition.

WALKS
• There are a large choice of walks near Dolgellau including the estuary, Cader Idris, the Precipice Walk and many others.
• The Mawddach trail in particular is a well surfaced track on an old railway line from Dolgellau to Barmouth on the southern side of the estuary - easy for cycles, trailers, wheelchairs and feet.
• Panorama Walk - Barmouth's most famous walk. There is a car park and toilet at the top of the Panorama road. Great views over the estuary.

DIRECTIONS:
From London: take the M40,M6 then M54 from Birmingham to Shrewsbury.
Follow signs to Welshpool -A5, A458 and A470 to the Dolgellau bypass.
From South West: use M5/M6, then as above.
Approaching Dolgellau = Petrol Station and Little Chef on the right.Take next left to Dolgellau.
200m we are on left by 30mph sign
From the North: M6 then M56 to Chester, then A494 to Dolgellau bypass. Keep on the A470 to the south end of the town (from Bala, turn left when you reach the A470). Then 300m over the river turn right for Dolgellau, after 200m we are on left by 30mph sign.
