Tall Trees Park is in a peaceful rural area, within walking distance of a family pub, shops, and takeaways, and with all the amenities of a modern town close by.
Our Touring Park is open all year round and is in a secluded area at the rear of our Residential Park Homes, We can accommodate up to 24 units of either caravans, tents or even motorhomes up to 24ft long. The field reserved for pitches has open farmland on three sides, and the location and utilities have been approved by the Caravan Club. Currently the Caravan Club certification is for 5 pitches, but this is being reviewed following the increased numbers approved by the Council.
We have 24 pitches, all of which have electric hook-ups available. There is a brand new Shower and Toilet facility on site including Disabled and Laundrette facilities.
A fully stocked Carp Fishing Lake is located at the rear of the Campsite and is available on a Day Ticket or Seasonal Ticket, see Fishing for more information.
Due to the large grassed area available, and the rough ground adjacent, our site is ideal for those with dogs. There is also room for ball games etc.. as the field is much larger than required for the pitches.
OUT AND ABOUT:
Tall Trees Park is an excellent choice for your holiday getaway, situated on the edge of the Maun Valley Nature Reserve, it is ideal for those seeking a tranquil and peaceful holiday.
Being less than 1 mile from Mansfield Town Centre and with easy access to the M1 Motorway, you are in a superb position for visiting the Derbyshire Peak District, National Trust’s Clumber Park in Worksop, Chesterfield’s Crooked Spire, and was historically the centre of Sherwood Forest. This is still a peaceful, rural area, but with all the amenities of a modern town close by. Our campsite is within walking distance of a friendly family pub, serving delicious meals, shops, and takeaways. As the home town of Rebecca Adlington, the double Olympic Gold Medal swimmer, we of course have a well appointed indoor heated swimming pool.
The town of Mansfield has much to offer. For those quieter or wetter days out there are the local art galleries, and our museum. The ancestral home of Lord Byron, Newstead Abbey, is just down the A60, with many associated places of interest, such as the chapel. The village of Hucknall, mainly associated with Lord Byron, has delightful street markets, and Jacksdale and Westwood villages have lots of interesting small shops to explore.
On better days, stretch your legs on the XplorActive activity trail, or join in with the Climbing Wall fun. There is also the Timberland Trail, an 8 kilometre trail through the heart of Mansfield and into Greenwood, Nottinghamshire’s Community Forest (about a 3 hour cycle ride).
Many events are put on over the summer for your enjoyment. ‘Schools in the Street’, Music Workshop, Farmers Market, ‘Larking About’ and Party in the Park are just a few examples. There are many places of interest in the area to keep old and young fully entertained, and the site itself is peaceful, surrounded by farmland, mainly pasture.
