Silver Sands Holiday Park offers you a choice of holiday homes, touring and camping emplacements in a mature parkland setting. Set in the dramatic and beautiful countryside of the Lizard Peninsula; an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
Silver Sands Holiday Park has gained the coveted David Bellamy's Gold Award; granted in recognition of the park's commitment to the preservation of the natural environment here in Cornwall.
Silver Sands Holiday Park is ideal for families, couples and singles alike. There is no clubhouse or bar to disturb the natural peace.
The park is ideally placed; whether you want "away from it all" relaxation or a more active sightseeing / touring holiday. Pets are welcome with well trained and responsible owners.
All our emplacements are spacious and separated by mature shrubs and trees.
In our first field we have touring caravan and campervans emplacements with electric hook-ups and also have the fleet of holiday homes.
The second field is exclusively reserved for tent camping. Some of these emplacements have electric hook-up. All are situated around the outside of the triangular field with a play area in the middle.
Silver Sands is ideally placed; whatever you like to do on your visit to the Lizard and Cornwall.
You can stroll to Kennack Sands Beaches down an enchanting woodland path where the West Beach is dog free but the East beach is a dog beach. You can choose between two café's that serve the beach.
For the more energetic guests there is swimming in the mild Gulf Stream at any one of the local beaches and coves, or you can try diving, surfing or wind surfing with tuition from one of the local "Schools".
For the guests who enjoy walking there are coast path walks to The Lizard point and beyond and to Coverack and round to the Helford River Estuary. You can walk the footpaths of the Lizard away from the coastal path.
For those who enjoy fishing there is fishing from the beach, Sea fishing from local ports and freshwater fishing at Garras and other places.
Many of our guests take the opportunity to visit the many beautiful gardens, Trevarno, Trebah and Glendurgan to mention just three. The gardens are beautiful all the year but especially in the spring with the azaleas and camellias, not to mention the wild bluebells, primroses and violets and if you look carefully you may even see orchids at the roadside.
The National Trust has many properties in this area of Cornwall, the most famous and notable being St Michaels Mount in Mount's Bay.
Spend a time exploring our local enchanting fishing villages, Cadgwith, Mullion, Porthleven and the many others in our area.
Walk around the lovely Helford village on the banks of the River Helford and even take the ferry across to the Ferry Boat Inn and enjoy a lunch or drink sat beside the water; from there take a ferry journey down the Helford River.
The younger guests are always fascinated with the seals at the National Seal Sanctuary at Gweek, only a few miles away. Children of all ages will enjoy a day out at "The Flambards Experience" our side of Helford; explore Falmouth and the National Maritime Museum , (certainly not dry and dusty!) Another interesting visit for the children is Paradise Park Wildlife Sanctuary again a short drive away.
