Shamba Holidays is ideally situated to explore Hampshire and Dorset, and is close to the New Forest and Bournemouth with its fine beaches.

The park appeals to country lovers and young families who wish to enjoy the host of attractions in the local area. Fishing, golfing and horseriding are all available nearby.

The park offers touring and camping facilities on a seven-acre level site, set in pleasant countryside. It has 150 good sized, well-drained pitches, all with electric hook-up facility.

Shamba has a clubhouse with licensed bar, large screen TV, takeaway, reception, games room and shop. There is also a 40ft indoor/outdoor heated swimming pool and toddlers’ paddling pool, and a children’s play area.

The modern toilet and shower facilities are free to all guests, as is the use of the leisure amenities including the indoor/outdoor heated pool and entrance to the club. There are also laundry facilities including washing machines, dryers and ironing facilities, which are coin operated. We have a covered wash-up area, chemical disposal point and a motor vehicle greywaste disposal point.

We do allow guests' dogs on our park for which there is a nominal charge. All dogs must be kept on a lead at all times and strictly be exercised off the park. Shamba now provides a pleasant, large dog walking area.

Shamba Holidays is ideally situated for all our local attractions. The award winning Moors Valley Country Park with its play areas, model steam train, adventure play trail, tree top walk, golf course and fishing lake is less than three miles away.

Twenty minutes drive to Ower brings you to Paultons Park. A young family theme park with numerous rides, wildlife gardens and museums. Simply a must if you have children aged between 3 and 12. Or, why not take a visit to Adventure Wonderland, previously known as Alice in Wonderland, a fabulous theme park aimed at the younger families from toddlers upwards, that offers rides, its famous maze, play/adventure areas, shows and a huge indoor play centre, and all just a short drive from Shamba.

Near Winchester, the world renowned Marwell Zoo can be found, suitable for all ages. For older children, there is Tower Park in Poole with Multiplex cinemas, bowling and a variety of food outlets.

The Oceanarium on Bournemouth sea front is an underwater, around the world experience and it is well worth a visit. The Purbecks with beautiful Studland Bay and Corfe Castle are only half an hour away.
