Our most westerly Club Site is Sennen Cove on the Land’s End peninsula. Within a few miles of both the north and south coasts of Cornwall, there is a variety of scenery within easy reach and plenty of activities for all the family.
• Visit Land’s End or St Ives by the bus which passes the Site entrance. It is open-topped in summer – weather permitting.
• Cape Cornwall is a lovely peaceful cove on the headland.
• Trevarno Gardens includes the National Museum of Gardening and is one of several great gardens locally.
• Richard Trevithick’s Levant Beam Engine and its mine are managed by the National Trust.
• Sheltered by the headland of Pedn-mendu, Sennen Cove itself is a couple of miles away, in the east corner of Whitesand Bay.
• Geevor Tin Mine, the last working mine in the area, is now a museum.
• Day trips to the Scilly Isles leave Land’s End Airport, a mile from Site. Helicopter trips and ferries leave from Penzance.
• St Michael’s Mount is a magical rocky island with a castle and church.
• On the south coast is the stunning Minack Theatre. Watch a performance in the open air on a Cornish cliffside.
• Paradise Park makes a good family day out with animals and the JungleBarn indoor play centre.
• The Flambards Experience includes an aviation collection, a Victorian village and theme park rides.
Learn to surf at Sennen Cove or try Covert Combat at Penzance.
