River View Touring Park is a caravan and camp site situated in a beautiful rural location in south-west Wales. It is easily reached from junction 49 of the M4 and other major routes.
The site is south-facing with an abundance of native trees, wildflowers, wildlife and the River Gwili flowing along part of its boundary.
The owners, Keith & Kath live on site and aim to make your stay both enjoyable and peaceful. Since owning the site, we have developed it to a modern 4 star standard whilst still maintaining its rural atmosphere and feeling of tranquility. All the work we have undertaken has been environmentally sensitive and has helped the site achieve the prestigious awards.
River View Touring Park is a popular site for caravans, motorhomes and tents in Carmarthenshire, with a high level of repeat visitors who have variously described it as ‘the retreat’ or ‘the haven’.
Our all weather pitches are particularly popular, being generously sized and level. With 3 separate meadows we can cater for most tastes and for that extra bit of luxury we have 9 fully serviced pitches (cold water tap and gray waste drains as well as electric hook up).
OUT AND ABOUT:
Carmarthenshire and South West Wales has a treasure trove of attractions. Whether you are interested in walking, gardening, history, more physical activities like cycling or relaxing on one of our many wonderful beaches, there is something for everyone.
The area has a stunning selection of beaches from the Gower Peninsular round to Pendine Sands and beyond into Pembrokeshire.
Carmarthenshire’s jewel in the crown is Pembrey Country Park with its huge expanse of Cefn Sidan beach. The Country Park has many facilities for the family apart from the lovely beach, you will find woodland walks and amusements for the children, large and small including a dry ski slope and toboggan run.
The area offers gentle walks in the many country parks or the Millennium Coastal Path, through to strenuous mountain walking in the Black Mountain and Brecon Beacons. Brecfa Forest also offers a range of walking opportunities.
The Millennium Coastal Path is ideal for a gentle cycle ride on level, well maintained paths or you can opt for the more exhilarating mountain bike trails in the Brechfa Forest and Afan Forest Park. Between these two extremes are many trails or routes using country roads, but be aware, we are not short of hills!!!
River View Touring Park has its own river Gwili and you are welcome to try your luck with our trout. Close by there are opportunities for river and lake fishing. Two of the local lakes, Spring Waters and Shimano, are very well respected. Also accessable from the site are the Towy, Cothi and Teifi rivers, which offer some excellent salmon and sea trout fishing. For the occasional fishermen there are several well stocked trout lakes.
