The River Dart Country Park lies within the Dartmoor National Park in an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The River Dart, which flows through the grounds, has been designated as part of the Dartmoor Special Area of Conservation due to its diverse habitat. Everyone who visits is in awe of the beautiful surroundings in and around the Park.

With over ninety acres of wonderful woods, beautiful lakes, the River Dart and breathtaking parkland for you and your family, it’s the perfect setting for all kinds of outdoor activities.

We strive to achieve and maintain high standards at The River Dart Country Park. Consequently we are inspected annually by the AA, Dartmoor Tourist Association and Visit Britain and are rated 4 pennants by the organisations.

Set within mature parkland and bordered by woodland, our touring site has generous, neat and individually marked and numbered pitches.

As well as the well appointed site, we have a Park Shop which stocks everyday requirements from newspapers to groceries, meat for the BBQ as well as emergency camping requirements from torches to toothbrushes!

Our facility blocks have free hot showers, washing up facilities, disabled facilities and coin operated laundry rooms.

All persons staying on-site have free use of River Dart Adventures - our own day visitor attraction. (Does not include Dare Devils). Children can rough-and-tumble over space nets, swing through trees on jungle ropes or even capture a wooden pirate ship, surrounded by water! Toddlers aren’t left out either with our Toddlers’ Beach and Lilliput, just perfect for tiny explorers.

Sawmill café bar provides a good selection of food and has a licensed bar. During high season there is also a selection of evening entertainment and themed food evenings fro example all you can eat pizza night.

We are a family site and as such expect our customers to respect their neighbours and we operate a quiet time after 11pm.
