Pinewoods Holiday Park is set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty on the North Norfolk Heritage Coast, approximately three-quarters-of-a-mile from the town of Wells-next-the-sea. The Park is bounded on the north by a strip of mature pine trees, nestling beside the beautiful sandy beach with its attractive beach huts. To the east lies the entrance to Wells Harbour.
Pinewoods caters for touring caravans, motorcaravans, tents, caravan holiday homes for hire and 491 privately-owned holiday homes.
Whether you are paddling in the sea, taking a picnic on the dunes, watching the wildlife in the pinewoods, or just sitting on the beach listening to a summer breeze gently touching the rigging of moored yachts, there is always something relaxing to do at Pinewoods..
Pinewoods touring area has a large number of electric hook-up points, including new super pitches with water and drainage points as well as electricity. Modern toilet blocks provide ample facilities with free hot water, showers, toilets and showers for the disabled, dish washing sinks and chemical toilet disposal points. A laundrette is housed in a separate building with washing and drying facilities, baby changing rooms are also available.
Pinewoods has a large number of standard hookup pitches as well as a new area of landscaped super pitches for the discerning caravanner, a large area for tenters - all served by modern, clean toilet blocks with free hot water and showers. As the Park is very popular in the main holiday season, it is advisable to book your pitch in advance.
Miles of unspoilt beach and woodland walks sweep along the coast from the Park to Holkham Bay to the west. The area provides visitors with ample opportunities to enjoy peace and solitude - it is a bird watchers paradise with a National Nature Reserve and the salt marshes nearby.
The coastline is dotted with interesting fishing villages, many with characteristic flint and brick cottages with pantile roofs such as the beautiful 18th Century village of Burnham Market with its speciality shops and fine eating establishments.
Explore the rich history and architecture of Nelson’s county. Visit one of the many fine stately homes and museums - Holkham Hall and Bygones Museum are on the doorstep and Sandringham House is only a short drive away.
Hire cycles to explore quiet country lanes or hop aboard a majestic old steam train to travel the coast in style.
Get closer to nature at one of many colourful gardens, vast parklands and nature reserves, or discover the myriad of art galleries and small craft shops displaying works of local artists, inspired by the dramatic landscapes of north Norfolk.
