Penhalt Farm Holiday Park is situated on the Coastal Downs, a mile South of Widemouth Bay with commanding views of the magnificent Atlantic coastline and the beautiful surrounding countryside.
Penhalt is a working sheep farm with a few chickens and we have nesting house martins and swallows. The Holiday Park stands on an eight acre site well equipped for touring caravans and campers. Our shop supplies all general needs including Calor and Camping Gaz and there are electric hook-ups if required. There are two toilet blocks, one with a toilet for the Disabled and a baby changing unit. Our brand new shower house also caters for the disabled.
The well equipped laundry room contains washing machines, tumble driers, ironing and washing up facilities. We also have a games room with pool tables and air hockey. Outside there is a children's play area, a table tennis table, basket ball net and football posts. Dogs are welcome on site but must be kept on a lead at all times - there is an adjacent field for exercise.
Within less than an hour's drive there are many places of interest to visit including picturesque Clovelly, the pretty fishing village of Boscastle, the Launceston Stream Railway and the Legendary King Arthur's castle at Tintagel.
There are also several National Trust and English Heritage properties, gardens, nature trails, the Tamar Otter Park and the famous Coastal Footpath. For cyclists there are plenty of quiet country lanes and the breathtaking Camel and Tarka Trails.
The unspoilt sandy beaches of the North Cornish Coast, reputedly amongst the best in the country, offer good surfing and other watersports, and the main beaches are patrolled by lifeguards throughout the holiday season. Dogs are allowed year round on South Beach (Widemouth Bay), Summerleaze Beach (Bude), Duckpool, Sandy Mouth & Northcott Mouth. On the North Beach (Widemouth), Crooklets (Bude) and Crackington Haven dogs are not allowed from Easter to 1st Oct.
Local recreational amenities include tennis, golf, riding and a choice of fishing, and for families there is the popular 'Splash' Leisure Pool just five miles North in Bude and a recently completed Ten Pin Bowling Alley.
Our aim at Penhalt Farm is that you should enjoy a happy, carefree holiday - whilst the local amenities offer something for everybody - not least the natural beauty, spaciousness and historical interest of the Cornish Atlantic Coast.
