Old Hall Caravan Park is a quiet Caravan Park near the Lake District. Located in the peaceful hamlet of Capernwray, near to the Lancaster Canal. Two miles from the village of Over Kellet, three miles from the market town of Carnforth and close to Junction 35 of the M6.
This family-owned and managed park offers a high standard of service in its annual season from 1st March to 10th January each year.
Set in a quiet and secluded part of North Lancashire, 80 acres of woodland surround the site which you can enjoy as you wander its paths viewing some of the native wildlife including deer, foxes, squirrels, rabbits, badgers and an abundance of bird life.
Old Hall Caravan Park is close to the small market town of Carnforth, which has a good range of shopping including a supermarket. The village shop supplies milk, bread, eggs, newspapers and fruit juices. There is an adventure playground for children on the site.
TOURING:
Being completely separate from the rest of the park, the area for touring caravans is set in a beautiful woodland clearing, sheltered from the wind and providing a pleasant suntrap, with a small picturesque stream running by. All touring pitches are hard standing, with electricity supply and television hookup points.
The spacious centrally heated toilet and shower block is complete with facilities:- disabled/family room, dishwashing area, laundry and chemical emptying facility. All showers, and the use of hairdryers, are free.
Old Hall Caravan Park is set in an excellent location for walking, having many lanes and public footpaths nearby.
The surrounding countryside is a haven for wildlife, and birdwatching is proving to be very popular in the locality. The well-known Leighton Moss Nature Reserve is within easy reach.
The Lancaster Canal runs nearby, and boats are available for hire at the marina in Carnforth. Two swimming pools are available locally. Silverdale and Arnside on the coast are within easy reach.
Cinemas are available at Morecambe and Lancaster, tenpin bowling at Morecambe. Coarse fishing and trout fishing are possible locally. There is an abundance of village pubs with restaurant facilities. A good variety of takeaway food is available in Carnforth.
Golfing enthusiasts will find courses at Lancaster, Morecambe and Kirkby Lonsdale. Horse riding stables are at Warton and Bolton-le-Sands.
Capernwray Diving School is nearby for scuba diving enthusiasts.

DIRECTIONS:
Exit the M6 at junction 35, taking the link road, signposted Over Kellet. After approximately 200yards you meet a T junction, turn LEFT along the B6254 and travel approximately 1 mile. Be very wary of the sharp blind bends through the village. At the village green turn left, signposted Capernwray, and travel 1.5 miles, Old Hall is on the right, half a mile up the private driveway.
