Moorhouse is a small family run site at Holford, approximately 10 miles west of Bridgwater. It is situated at the foot of the picturesque Quantock Hills, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and is an ideal site for those wishing to explore the area or simply enjoy a quiet break in the countryside.
Large, level well drained pitches, for both caravans and tents. Heated toilet and shower block. Laundry room. Picnic area.
Dedicated camping field for tents with its own toilet block and washing up facilities. Some pitches with electric hook up.
We welcome families, but please note we do not have any children's play apparatus on site, however we do have a large open play area.

Moorhouse Farm is situated just off the A39 between Bridgwater and Minehead, in a quiet but accessible location. There are pubs within walking distance at Holford and Kilve. Kilve has a post office and store. More shops, pubs and restaurants can be found a short drive away in West Quantoxhead, Stogursey and Nether Stowey.
The Quantock Hills offer marvellous walking, and horse riding, on a huge network of footpaths, tracks and bridleways with the opportunity to see many species of birds and flowers and herds of Quantock Ponies and red deer. There are spectacular views over the Bristol Channel to Wales and the Brecon Beacons, west to Exmoor and south to the Blackdown Hills and the Vale of Taunton, as well as steep wooded combes to explore.
There are local beaches at Kilve and Lilstock. Dunster Castle, Minehead, Exmoor, the West Somerset Steam Railway, Cheddar Gorge and Weston-super-Mare are all within easy reach. Taunton, the county town, is half an hour away.
DIRECTIONS
Directions to Moorhouse Farm are fairly straight forward. It is about 10 miles west of Bridgwater just off the A39. Come off the M5 at junction 23 for Bridgwater (signed Bridgwater, Glastonbury, Street). Follow signs for Bridgwater along dual carriage way then follow signs for Minehead on A39, by-passing town centre. Stay on A39 by-passing Cannington. Past Village of Nether Stowey (on your left), heading towards Holford.
At Holford, The Plough Inn is on your left. PLEASE IGNORE SAT NAV! Sat nav will direct you off the main road down Portway (narrow lane not suitabe for large vehicles caravans etc). Stay on the main road. Once you leave the 30 mile area into 50 mile area there is a brown tourist sign on your left for Moorhouse campsite 300 yards ahead on your right. At the sharp left hand bend there is a road off to the right signed Lilstock and Stogursey, turn off here and Moorhouse is the first entrance on your right.
