Leela Fields (previously known as Thorngrove) is a country park offering a peaceful retreat with fresh country air and views of the beautiful Blackmore Vale.

There are different ways of staying with us. All year round we have available fully equipped Pine Chalets and Caravan Holiday homes. From April to October we offer camping and touring pitches.

Our facility block is purpose-built to be suitable for the disabled and includes toilets, hot water showers and a laundry and wash-up room with coin-operated washing machine, spin dryer and dryer.

We have hookups for caravans and a few hard standings. The green grass predominates and there is a view over the Fields of Play and the Blackmore Vale.

We are adjacent to the Fields of Play nature and conservation park project and the Leela Holistic centre.

Sports available in the area include fishing, golf and horse riding and we have a leisure centre in the nearby town of Gillingham, Dorset.

We are ideally situated for visits to many interesting places, being only 40 minutes from Glastonbury & Stonehenge.

Other nearby tourist attractions include Shaftesbury and Gold Hill (from the Hovis advert), Bournemouth seaside, Poole, Salisbury (magnificent Cathedral) the Roman city of Bath, the Cheddar Gorge caves and lots more.

PINE CHALETS
The Pine Chalets are centrally heated, have three double bedrooms which can be made as twins or doubles, a spacious kitchen, living and dining area and a shower, bath and toilet.

Each cabin has a verandah with views of the picturesque Blackmore Vale. The cabins are fully equipped and have a TV /Video. Bedding is provided.

CARAVAN HOLIDAY HOMES
The Caravan holiday homes have an en-suite double bedroom, a small double which can be converted into a children's twin, a lounge with sofa that can be converted into a single or double bed, a kitchen and dining area and a shower and second toilet.

They have gas and electric heating and are fully equipped and have a TV/Video. There is plenty of storage space. Bedding is provided.
