Tayvallich is a small fishing village on the shores of Loch Sween in Argyll and has a vibrant community. A vital element of village life is tourism. The village is an ideal centre for your holiday, vacation or weekend break. The bay is a haven for boats of all kinds and a very safe environment for young children learning rowing and sailing. One mile away is Carsaig Bay , which has a nice sandy beach (when the tide is out) and is a great place for children to play and swim.In the village itself there is a pub and restaurant, grocery store, coffee shop and playpark. There are many forestry walks in and around the peninsula, and the Taynish Nature Reserve is only one place of many where you can observe our local wildlife (see Wildlife). The village has an active Sailing Club, with 'round the can' races every Sunday during the season, and several other longer distance weekend races and cruises. Visitors are very welcome to come along to the club, especially at Regatta Weekend, where they race anything that floats (almost!).
