Island Lodge is a family friendly site in the heart of the South Hams an ideal location for a relaxing holiday or a base to explore the area all year round.
The site is situated just one mile north of Kingsbridge, a traditional working town with a variety of shops, public houses, restaurants and markets.
The South Hams Coastline has a variety of sandy and pebbled beaches and coves and for the walkers the South West Coastal path is easily accessible. Opportunities for fishing, boating, horse riding and cycling can all be found in the local area of Island Lodge and Kingsbridge.
The site accommodates Caravans, Motorhomes and Tents and has the following on site facilities:- Modern well equipped toilet facilities, showers (no charge for hot water), laundry, washing up facilities, chemical disposal point, electric hook-ups and children's play area (swing, slide and climbing frame). Dogs are welcome but must be kept on leads at all times.
The site offers both touring and seasonal pitches. Hard standing super pitches are available. Special offers available for 5 nights or more excluding July August and weeks containing Bank / Public Holidays, see tariffs for details.

Kingsbridge, just one mile from the site has a large selection of shops, restaurants, takeaways and pubs. Good car parking facilities are available near the tourist information centre which is well located for access to the town. An outdoor market operates 2 - 3 times per week dependent on the time of year.
The stunning coastline of the South Hams provides well for walkers, those who appreciate water sports or for just relaxing on the many beaches around the area. Try the shingle beach of Slapton Sands or the sandy beach at Blackpool sands just two of the many beaches in the area.
There are many small villages surround the area, take the A379 to Dartmouth and sample just a few of them and some of the best scenery in the South Hams. With a mix of countryside, beaches and coastline this stretch of road (approx 15 miles) joins Kingsbridge to the Historic Town and harbour of Dartmouth.
DIRECTIONS:
From Totnes take A381 for approximately 12 miles. At Stumpy Post roundabout turn right , 300ydsover the brow of the hill turn left ( sign post for the site).
